David von Bassewitz

David von Bassewitz, born in 1975, is one of the most influential German illustrators of his generation. His work is known for its distinctive visual language and has appeared in leading publications including Die Zeit, stern, and Le Nouvel Observateur.

AWARD-WINNING ILLUSTRator

In 2010, David was named Best Illustrator by the Art Directors Club Europe. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the National Portrait Gallery in London. In 2014, he published his first graphic novel, Vasmer's Brother. Today, he lives and works as a freelance artist and illustrator in Lübeck.
